I was quite tired and fell sick right after the tango performance, so I decided to take a rest at London when I stayed there (surprise?).

I did not do much on the first day except working on the fund raising event of YYCIS. Met Maris at the crew lodge and he was interested to go to the Museum of London with me on the next day.

    Museum of London

Traveling in London is super easy. You can take the tube around and there is always a map waiting for you. They have clear instructions and everything is so close together. We found Museum of London quite easily.

It is a Museum inside the city, located on top of a round-about of the road.

When you get to the entrance of the museum, you can see a piece of round grassland. It is very refreshing to see it right inside the city.

    Exhibition of “Map of London”

It was the reason I went to this museum.
Museum of London invited Londoners to draw their own map of London and they picked 7 of them to display. It was very interesting to see a different London map of people’s mind.

I especially like “Loos of London”. It was drawn by a mother who knew the best toilet around the town for her son. She always encounters problems of finding toilets when she went out with her son. So, she now knows exactly where is the toilet with best equipment, which style is the toilet around, How clean they are. It is a very special and great map. I had a lot of fun reading it.

Most of the maps are very subjective and so they carry a lot of emotions and memories. I love the little remarks and comments on the map.

Maris was reading the “loops of London”

Honestly, the rest of the Museum of London was not very interesting. The history part was quite boring, but we found a temporary exhibition of some photographs of old and new London. The photos were great!!!!!!

Photo taking was not allowed in the exhibition, so I could only take my favorite one from the cover of a book.

This is amazing with the content and framing.
